It is mostly for this reason that the Flymax team is now wondering what the vending machines of the future might be.

The future vending machines could be quite amazing!
Just think of intelligent machines capable of recognising personal tastes and recommending products based on one's preferences.
An additional personalized experience could be offered by facial recognition and artificial intelligence (AI).
Here below some of the possible features of the future vending machines:
Advanced customization: beverage vending machines could manage end-user preferences and suggest products based on their previous purchases and/or specific requests.
Innovative payment systems: in addition to traditional payment systems, vending machines could accept payments through smartphones, for example NFC or QR code.
Customized products: vending machines could offer drink options according to the type of diet followed. This feature could be developed especially within protein vending machines so that each user can adapt the drink according to the doses indicated in their sports diet.
Sustainability: by offering biodegradable or recyclable cups and stirrers ,the vending machine could be conceived to minimize waste and environmental impact.
Connectivity and telemetry: vending machines could be networked to allow remote inventory management, software updates and data analysis to optimize the user experience.

A JUMP INTO THE FUTURE: THE TELEMETRY SYSTEM
In a way to anticipate trends, Flymax already in 2016 developed and proposed to its customers the telemetry system to control coffee machines remotely.
Since 2016, this technology has made huge strides and allows operators, who have several vending machines in a large area, to have both the history of dispensed drinks,the product status and error history under control at all times.
Telemetry certainly does not replace human intervention, which is always necessary in this field; however, it can help in the management and administration of vending machines installed kilometers far.
The error history can also help the operator to understand why certain errors occur more frequently so as to anticipate them and act before they occur again.
The dealer or reseller can get an updated situation, by intuitively interface, on the consumption of each soluble product (coffee, tea, milk..). In this way, he can calculate in advance the average supplies for each customer.
The above mentioned features adjust some of the ones present in the current Flymax’s telemetry system.
